This 1960 Corvette was all original until the owner was racing his 85 vette at Laguna Seca and hit the wall at about 115 mph, then slid on the roof for a few hundred feet. OUCH! The car was junk, so the owner figured, what the heck lets Frankenstein it. He says the 60 would go faster than the 85 in SCCA racing anyway. The frame is still 1960 vette, but the suspension, motor, and  transmission are from the 1985 Corvette. These were added by Paul Newman (not the actor), who has a shop in the bay area.

1) 1985 Corvette suspension added to original 1960 frame.

2) One more shot of that suspention. Can you say radolicious...

3) Motor & trans are installed and we're ready for the body.

4) Stripped to bare fiberglass. A tedious job, but must be done to assure a quality paint job.

5) A freshly applied coat of brite yellow Dupont Chromabase and cleared with dupont v7800s clear.

6) Time for color sanding and polishing.
